Materials, Makings and Memories

Artists, Matt Shaw and Barbara Jones are currently working with Gemma Foy, "Let's Animate" on Culture Coventry's exciting city-wide Community Arts Project. They have been gathering memories and stories from members of 4 different community groups - the Asian women's group, Ekta Unity, children and families at Gosford Park Children's Centre, adult learners at Cheylesmore Community Centre and a men's refugee group at Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre. The creative work developed through the workshops will be celebrated at local pop-up exhibitions and then included in touring exhibitions and Culture Coventry's "We Love Coventry" display at The Coventry Transport Museum.
